What can I sell on SwagDeel?

Sellers can sell women’s and men’s clothing, furniture, sporting equipment, home goods, electronics, and more.  Gently used items can be listed if they are clean and in good condition.  Our marketplace focuses on things that you would actually use minus the clutter.  If you have any questions or need clarification on an item feel free to reach out to the support team (support@swagdeel.com).  

What can I NOT sell on SwagDeel?

SwagDeel prohibits the listing of any illegal/counterfeit/replica items and including but not limited to our Company’s list of prohibited items.  Some of these present legal risks or may pose health and safety concerns.  Other items not allowed are items we feel are not appropriate for our marketplace and could be considered offensive.  

If a seller violates our Terms and Service Policy and lists a prohibited item, SwagDeel reserves the right to remove the listing and/or suspend or terminate the seller’s account.  

The following items are not allowed for sale on SwagDeel:

    • Any item that is illegal
    • Alcohol, prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs, narcotics, drug paraphernalia, tobacco, cannabis-derived products, and e-cigarettes
    • Counterfeits, fakes,  imitation, and replicas of brand name items
    • Pirated or bootlegged copies of any copyrighted or trademarked material
    • Stolen goods
    • Perishable goods
    • All store-bought or homemade foods
    • Live animals and  wildlife products sourced illegally
    • Pornography or adult toys
    • All weapons, explosives, firearms, ammunition, knives and swords (excluding kitchen cutlery), mace/pepper spray, hunting weapons, weapons used for striking, and weapon parts and accessories
    • Solicitation or advertising of any service
    • Digital goods
    • Items listed or recalled by federal regulators or manufacturers
    • Any item that supports hate, violence, discrimination, or is deemed offensive to another race or group

How do I list items?

Selling on SwagDeel is simple!  Upload photos of the item you want to sell, describe the item, and set the price.  3 ways your item will sell fast:  great photos, a fair price, and answering any buyer’s questions.  Your listing can be edited by you at any time.

Photos:
If your pictures are dark or blurry you will have a hard time selling your item.  Take photos of clothing laid out on a flat surface or on a hangar.  Keep the background less busy so the focus stays on your item.  Dark photos and shadows can turn a buyer off.  Ensure you have plenty of lighting and that your item are well-lit.  

Description:
A good description will help the buyer picture the item by reading the description alone.  Some things to include are brand, size, condition, color, style, type of material, dimensions, defects, and anything else that will help the buyer.

Price:
Do some research.  Find out what similar items are being sold for.  If you price it too high your item will not sell.  Ask too little, and you left money on the table.  If you decide to ship your item factor in postage costs.  Set your price but stay flexible.

Product Q&A Section

There is a section for buyers to post questions about the seller’s item on the product listing page.  Look for the tab ‘Q & A’.  Only registered users will be able to post questions.

When a buyer posts a question, SwagDeel will vet the question first to ensure it meets SwagDeel’s guidelines.  Next, the question will be forwarded to the seller for a response.  Once the seller replies back with the response to SwagDeel, it will be uploaded to the ‘Q & A’ tab on the seller’s listing page.  An automated email will be sent to the buyer to let them know to check the listing for the seller’s response.  Answers to buyer’s questions will be available on the product listing page for other buyers to see.

While sellers are not required to answer questions from buyers, it is more likely for a buyer to make a purchase if their questions get answered.  Other buyers with the same questions can browse to find answers, reducing repetitive messages to the seller.  In these ways, the Q & A section saves everyone time and helps buyers make smart buying decisions.

How does shipping work?

Sellers are expected to ship sold items within 2 business days or meet with the buyer to deliver the item within that same time frame.  The price of shipping if offered by the seller will be in the listing.

Once you make a sale, we will provide you with a pre-paid, pre-addressed shipping label.  All prepaid shipping labels automatically come with a tracking number.  A tracking number reduces your risk of losing your package in transit.  All items that need to be shipped are required to purchase a shipping label through SwagDeel.      

Sellers receive their payment after the window of return for the buyer has expired, and, the buyer has not initiated a return due to the item not being received, arriving damaged, or is not as described within the listing.  The window of return for the buyer is 2 days from the delivery date.

Meet with the Buyer after a sale

Use SwagDeel’s messaging system to contact the buyer about where to meet up.  Agree to meet in a safe public place during daylight hours.  Don’t share your phone number or personal confidential information with the other person.  Taking transactions offline or outside Swagdeel is prohibited.  

Can I cancel a transaction?

A seller can cancel an order if there is an issue with the condition of the item, shipping, or they no longer have the item.  

We ask that the seller message the buyer through the seller dashboard under messages to let them know they are canceling the order.  Once SwagDeel has confirmed the cancellation, the buyer will be refunded back their original payment.  

How does the return policy affect me?

All sales are final on SwagDeel unless the item arrives damaged, does not match the listing, missing items, or is never shipped.  SwagDeel guarantees a free return and a full refund for the aforementioned reasons.  If the buyer does not make a claim within 2 days of the delivery date, payment will be released to the seller and the sale will be final.

Returns or refunds will not be granted for wear, stains, or other flaws that are mentioned or pictured in the listing.  Buyers are encouraged to read the listing description, review the photos and item conditions, and ask the seller questions if you have any.  We recommend refusing the package if it’s been visibly damaged in transit, this will help you get a refund.

If the buyer feels that the item is eligible for a return, they can request a return within 2 days of receiving the item.  The SwagDeel support team will review the situation and confirm if the item meets return requirements.

If approved, a free shipping label will be provided to the buyer, and the buyer has 2 days to ship the item back.  Once it is confirmed that the item was received by the seller, the buyer will be refunded the purchase price and the original shipping cost.  

SwagDeel does not offer returns or refunds for items for any of the following conditions:

    • Item does not fit or has an odor
    • Buyer changes their mind
    • Return request not made within three days of receiving the item
    • Transaction conducted offline

While we don’t offer refunds for the reasons mentioned above, we can still help you out.  You have 48 hours to message us after your return is denied, and if you want, you can re-list your item, and SwagDeel will waive the seller fees for you.  

Abuse of the refund policy by either a seller or buyer may lead to consequences, including but not limited to account restrictions, refunds at a loss to the seller, and legal action as determined by SwagDeel’s sole discretion.  SwagDeel takes the refund process very seriously and will take a neutral position to determine whether the seller or buyer is at fault.  

Payments to the seller

All payments will be processed the following business day after the buyer’s window of return (2 days) has expired. Depending on your bank, it may take up to 5 days for you to see your deposit in your bank account balance.  Check with your bank to find out the processing times for electronic deposits.

What is seller protection?

SwagDeel offers protection on shipments up to $100 if a prepaid label is purchased through us.  This will cover any item that gets damaged during transit or lost.  Local pickups, local deliveries, and local meetups are not covered.

To qualify for shipment protection, shipments need to have a prepaid, pre-addressed USPS shipping label, and the package must be scanned by USPS’ tracking system within 2 business days of the sale.  The pre-paid shipping label needs to be equal to or greater than the actual weight of the package and cannot exceed USPS’ package size limit.  Damaged claims must be filed within 2 calendar days from the documented time of delivery.  Lost claims can be filed 7 or more days after the last shipping update.

SwagDeel’s shipping protection does not include items damaged or lost during transit due to the seller not properly packaging the package.  If the shipping address or shipping label was changed, the item is not covered under the shipping protection policy.

If a buyer submits a damaged or lost claim, SwagDeel will ask them to upload photos and descriptions so we can review each case diligently.
