What can I buy on SwagDeel Marketplace?

SwagDeel Marketplace is a college-based marketplace for buying and selling new and gently used items.  The types of things you will find on our website are men’s and women’s clothing, furniture, home goods, electronics, and stuff that college students would use and need.  It’s a great way to save $ on your favorite brands and make $ by selling what you don’t use anymore.  When you buy something on SwagDeel, you’re buying it directly from the seller—they’ll either ship or meet you within 2 business days after placing your order.  

 

Product Q & A Section

There is a section on the seller’s product listing page for buyers to post questions about the seller’s item. Look for the ‘Q & A’ tab on the seller’s product listing page. When a buyer posts a question, SwagDeel will vet the question to ensure it meets SwagDeel’s guidelines.  Next, the question will be forwarded to the seller for a response.  Once the seller replies with the response to SwagDeel, it will be uploaded to the ‘Q & A’ tab on the seller’s listing page.  An automated email will be sent to the buyer who initiated the question to let them know their question has a response. Answers to the buyer’s questions will be available on the product listing page for other buyers to see.

While sellers are not required to answer questions from buyers, SwagDeel recommends, as a courtesy to buyers, answering product questions as soon as possible.  Ultimately, it is up to the seller.  

 

How do I pay for my purchases?

Payment on SwagDeel is safe and easy for buyers and sellers.  You can use a credit or debit card, PayPal, or a bank account to pay for your purchases.  SwagDeel releases the seller’s payment 2 days after the buyer and seller have confirmed the item was received and there are no discrepancies between the item and the listing.  The buyer has 2 days to open a return request if the item is not as described within the listing.  

If your item has not shipped or the seller has failed to set up a meeting location with you within 7 business days, contact SwagDeel customer support (support@swagdeel.com) for a full refund of your original purchase.

 

How does shipping work?

Sellers are expected to ship sold items within 2 business days or meet with the buyer to deliver the item within that same time frame.  The price of shipping, if offered by the seller, will be in the listing.  If the item has not shipped, or the seller has failed to set up a meeting location with you within 7 business days, contact SwagDeel customer support (support@swagdeel.com) for a full refund of your original purchase.

After the item is sold, we’ll email the seller a prepaid shipping label that they’ll use to ship the item.  A tracking number will be emailed to you so you can track where your package is. We’ll ask the seller to ship within 2 business days.  The buyer’s payment will be released to the seller 2 days after the item has been delivered. This is the window of return for the buyer if the item is not as described within the listing. Processing times for refunded payments will vary by bank.

 

How do I cancel a transaction?

As a buyer, you can ask the seller to cancel an order any time before it ships.  Go to your ‘My Purchases’ page and click on ‘Cancel Request.’  If you don’t see the option to cancel, that means your order has shipped and the transaction can no longer be canceled.  Please note, the seller may have already packaged your item up and be in the process of shipping, unaware of your request.  At this point, it may be too late for a seller to accept your cancellation request. If your cancellation request was not accepted, SwagDeel can assist by allowing you to list your item with no selling fees. You will need to email SwagDeel customer support (support@swagdeel.com) within 48 hours of your completed transaction. Orders can be canceled if the seller does not ship your item within 7 business days. In this case, contact SwagDeel customer support to request a full refund. 

 

What’s the return policy?

All sales are final on SwagDeel unless the item arrives damaged, does not match the listing, or is never shipped. SwagDeel guarantees a free return and full refund for the aforementioned reasons. Returns or refunds will not be granted for wear, stains, or other flaws that are mentioned or pictured in the listing. Buyers are encouraged to read the listing description, review the photos and item conditions, and ask the seller questions if they have any. We recommend refusing the package if it’s been visibly damaged in transit—this will help you get a refund. If the buyer feels that the item is eligible for a return, they can request a return within 2 days of receiving the item. The SwagDeel support team will review the situation and confirm if the item meets return requirements.

If approved, a free shipping label will be provided to the buyer. The buyer has 2 days to ship the item back or risk the cancellation of the return. Once confirmed, the item was received by the seller, the buyer will be refunded the purchase price and original shipping cost. SwagDeel does not offer returns or refunds for items under any of the following conditions:

    • The item does not fit or has an odor
    • Buyer changes their mind
    • Return request not made within 2 days of the delivery date
    • Transaction conducted offline

While we don’t offer refunds for the reasons mentioned above, we can still help you out. You have 48 hours to message us after your return is denied, and if you want, you can relist your item, and SwagDeel will waive the seller fees for you.
